lyrics

WHERE DID LOVE GO?
Some people are talking to themselves, some are even talking to their own hands. But what I really don’t understand, is where love did go.
There’s kids with anger in their hearts & governments out for revenge. But what I really don’t understand, is where love did go.

Some people force you to believe in this or that, cut your meat with your right hand & eat it with your left. Some say a thief never had a proper chance, but fail to see his fate has once been at their own hands.

What I really don’t understand... is where love did go.

We raise our kids in nurseries, we put the elderly away & the sick to sleep. We banish all disease with chemicals from factories who dump their waste in rivers & spill oil all over the seas.

What I really don’t understand... is where love did go.

We demand our daily meat, but only when it’s cheap. We grow fat really hygienically & wonder why our kids get born with plenty of different allergies.

& now I understand...

When you look out the window, the truth will slap you ’cross the face, ’cause the one thing we need, is the one thing we lack & that precious little thing just packed it up & got the fuck out of this place.

Everyday stories, surreal dreams, statements and sheer banter are part of the Pondertone vocabulary. Guitars, pianos and the lot are caressed and tortured, resulting in blend of after hours whiskybar music. ... more
